Account Director

Bluewater is looking for a seasoned Account Director to help lead and grow top client accounts.

What You’ll Accomplish:
  • Maintain strong active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels; act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients 
  • Drive client revenue through 1:1 marketing and strategic planning at the corporate level
  • Establish, drive and facilitate the implementation of quarterly strategic plans 
  • Collaborate with management for all strategic planning sessions 
  • Identify areas that Bluewater can grow existing clients with new products at the corporate level. Quoting as needed. 
  • Drive adoption of new products at the local level utilizing Account Managers and Inside Sales 
  • Orchestrate project implementation by utilizing internal and external resources 
  • Establish, monitor and track the facilitation and progress of client adoption plans with Client Services Team 
  • Work side by side with Inside Sales and Account Mangers to drive client revenue 
  • Set up new client accounts 
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and client business needs 
  • Deliver formal and informal presentations to clients as well as internal team members 
  • Limited travel to client conventions, planning sessions and events may be required 
What You’ll Need:
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required 
  • 7+ years experience in Advertising/Marketing client service 
  • 3+ years digital or online advertising industry experience 
  • Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity 
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Demonstrated expertise in uncovering business needs and building relationships with senior level clients 
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-discipline and time management skills 
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate needs into solutions 
  • Ability to balance client revenue, client satisfaction and operational responsibilities while meeting deadlines 
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
