Front- and Back-End Developer

Afternext is looking for a Front- and Back-End Developer.

Responsibilites:

• Work with UX/UI designers and the technology team to create wireframes for new website and mobile applications.
• Rapid prototyping and user testing for new website features.
• Architect the front-end structure and methodologies.
• Establish agile UI development standards and best practices.
• Conduct cross-browser testing and mobile compatibility.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development/Design or related field, or equivalent experience 
• 3-4 years of web development experience 
• Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS 
• Expert knowledge of object-oriented javascript development, including DOM scripting, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, and REST 
• Expert knowledge of standards, compliance and cross-browser/mobile compatibility Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) 
• PHP programming experience a plus 
• Working knowledge of source code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.) Familiarity with the following: 

• Web Browser Add-ons/Extensions 
• Facebook Connect/Notifications 
• Google Toolkits 
•  Auth/OpenID Connect 
• yii Framework Issue tracking tools (such as Jira) 
• Mobile/Tablet UI development 
• iPad/iPhone development 
• Social Media Integration (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) 
• Startup experience a plus
