Copywriters must be able to effectively interview clients and have an understanding of search engine optimization (SEO). In addition, copywriters must work cross-functionally with search engine marketing consultants, designers and project managers to create effective websites and meet project deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create unique text for legal websites focused on the specific needs of each client.
- Prepare for customer conference calls, and interview attorneys to gather information that is unique and relevant to their law firms' marketing strategy and their legal practice areas.
- Participate in an iterative process with clients to review and develop their web marketing copy.
- Maintain a working knowledge of general marketing strategies, search engine marketing principles and areas of legal practice. -Develop and maintain an understanding of Company business systems, including software used to ensure efficient delivery and tracking of incoming and completed content drafts.
- Understand and adhere to content best practices.
- Bachelors degree required (English/Communications/Journalism degree preferred)
- Substantial writing examples, including recent examples of least 500 words in length (Please provide actual text or links, no screenshots)
- 1–2 years of professional creative writing experience in marketing, communications or similar field
- Internet copywriting experience preferred
- Knowledge of legal terminology a plus
- Knowledge of basic SEO standards
- Familiarity with AP style strongly preferred
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong oral communication and interviewing skills
- Ability to understand the internet marketing needs of attorneys and an ability to address those needs in an effective and creative manner
- Ability to write creatively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Work well in a team environment
- Ability to meet or beat deadlines
- Relationship-building skills
