The Brand Manager will report to the Director of Marketing Growth Channels. The position will also lead a full cross-functional support team that includes Sales, R&D, Market Research, Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Developing a consumer insights based three to five year innovation pipeline for the Channels business.
- Assessing brand opportunities to attract new consumers, create new usage occasions and stretch into new categories.
- Facilitating the new product development process, which will include ownership of product formula direction, packaging (structure and graphics), forecasting, product P&Ls.
- Developing launch plans and retail account distribution plan for all new items.
- Tracking and evaluating new product performance based on key performance indicators.
- Leading innovation collaboration with key retail customers.
- Developing a long-term SKU optimization and rationalization plan.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs of key products and product lines.
- Partnering with supply chain and finance to understand the benefits of alternative manufacturing solutions.
Years of Related Experience: Typically has a minimum 6 years related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in managing P&L to ensure delivery of business goals
- Detailed knowledge of company and group products, policies and processes, along with analytical leadership and strong communication skills
- Understanding of new product processes and track record of successful product innovation leadership
- Strong marketer who understands how to leverage insights into positioning, branding, communication and innovation plans
- Experienced in selling-in new products, brand leadership strategies, and consumer insights at national retailers
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally across the organization with all levels of management
- Demonstrates highest integrity in keeping with company values
- PC skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook products
