Primary Responsibilities:
- Bring your outstanding writing and editing expertise to the table, including the ability to write pieces from scratch, modify copy to fit another audience or purpose, and edit copy developed by clients or other teams.
- Form a collaborative partnership with the team members you'll work closely with on specific assignments, offering creative ideas and constructive criticism to help shape our work.
- Work closely with your project manager and creative director on assignments, juggling day-to-day deadlines as well as developing your professional skills.
- Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of pieces of ad copy, headlines, sales collateral, informational pieces, web and more, delivering clear, easy-to-understand messaging.
- Learn and master an understanding of the various products and services offered by Provider Solutions.
- Own the messaging, learn and master the defined voice of the company.
- Identify all customer touch points and work for consistency across the board.
- Understand the various audiences for the lines of business we support—knowledge of demographics, types of customers and customer preferences.
- Work as independently as possible and be a critical thinker—drive for clarity and propose solutions when possible.
- Seek out subject matter experts, form relationships and interview expert colleagues to extract the information needed to develop informative content.
- Seek and use resources within and outside the company for your continuing professional development.
- Become a proficient user of our GRID system, a web-based program that helps to guide workflows and connects all of our projects and team members together.
- Keep abreast of new approaches to advertising, health issues and overall trends in health care.
- Use a variety of style and branding guides effectively, including AP, UnitedHealthcare and customer-specific brand guidelines.
- Moving effortlessly between brands as you move from one project to the next.
- Implement various reading levels and check the levels with each draft. When creating lower reading-level materials, strive to convey meaningful information and use a style that respects the reader.
- Distill complex clinical and health care ideas to make them approachable to a variety of specific audiences.
- Work quickly, accurately, and fearlessly
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ Years of demonstrated writing experience
- 2+ Years of Healthcare experience, provider segment a plus.
- MS Office skills ( Word, Power Point, Outlook)
