Director of Creative Services

Taymark is looking for a Director of Creative Services to provide leadership, creative vision, art direction and big picture design strategies to support company growth:

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the Creative and Theme department operations, personnel, processes and creative outputs. 
• Provides product, trend and market expertise to our internal teams and customers. 
• Leads product and service innovation initiatives. 
• Strives to make excellent creative services a competitive advantage and a reason why customers chose Taymark over the competition.
• Provides creative vision, art direction, product innovation and product development strategies to support company growth. 
• Responsible for New Product Development concepts and generation. 
• Serves in a leadership capacity to ensure attention to detail, timely meeting of deadlines, accuracy and professionalism.
• Manages the Creative and Theme department personnel. 
• Responsible for hiring, supervising, mentoring and improving performance of staff.
• Estimates and manages the time of both internal creative and external suppliers to ensure budgets and timelines are met.
• Listens to customer feedback (surveys, phone calls, trade shows, etc.) to serve as the pre-sales creative expert to insure the ability to produce desired products, to think about product innovation and impactful ways of delivering messages to the market.
• Provides regular communications on advertising campaign development, product development, innovation, timelines, resources and budgets to team members.
• Manages Creative team members on design, products, workflows, procedures and processes
• Develops an understanding of the P&L, mail plans/contact stream, systems, reporting and the internal processes to produce a marketing campaign. 

Qualifications: 

• BA in Graphic Design or related field 
• 5–10 years experience in Creative Services 
• Sophisticated design and typography skills; exceptional creative ability 
• Pro-active critical thinking and problem solving abilities 
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through 
• Motivated team player with a high level of accountability and drive to set expectations higher
• Flexible; reacts positively to challenges and change; consistently responds with a can-do attitude
