Digital/Vendor Marketing Specialist

As Digital/Vendor Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for vendor relations and all promotional functions as tied to digital and print media. Specific area of focus will be to manage planning and operational execution of digital marketing directives and market programs. The Digital/Vendor Marketing Specialist will bring together marketing, sales analytics and vendor programs along with digital resources to help define, execute, measure and optimize digital programs.

In addition, responsibilities will include assistance in the development of print collateral, sales tools/programs, while maintaining a strong/collaborative relationship with assigned vendor partners. This role will also serve as digital channel (eHub) coordinator, responsible for maintaining analytics and marketing-related assets and content on digital platforms such as: PattEdge, PD Connect, MyPatterson, and LMS.

In assisting Patterson Dental's Social Media Specialist, digital team and fellow marketing specialists, the Digital/Vendor Marketing Specialist will co-lead tactical communications for specific product lines, including: product launches, industry events, customer initiatives, digital and print advertising, and integrated marketing campaigns.

Major Responsibilities
I. Serve as eHub co-lead (along with Social Media Specialist) to understand strategic plans and then interpret (where appropriate) into digital initiatives that support business strategic goals. Develop and maintain process with marketing team to garner product focus and drive online/digital promotional/sales experience.
II. Coordinate with digital marketing team to drive optimized content syndication through digital channels (,, digital partners, blog/articles, etc.)
III. Work with integrated marketing team to develop new business practices and implement digital strategies. Manage process improvement projects to streamline existing solutions.
IV. Work with digital team to identify sources of new content and best practices to manage data and assets for all digital programs, increase organizational/vendor partner knowledge of digital area of expertise and further develop dashboard reporting (key performance metrics) to help drive consumer engagement/campaign success on a monthly basis.
V. Conduct analysis and review of marketing campaigns. Assign wins and edits to future campaigns to ensure success in sales growth.
VI. Provide leadership and project management during the development and implementation of marketing/advertising initiatives to help accelerate Patterson's sales growth and other objectives.
VII. Work with list of assigned vendor partners as required for obtaining all appropriate marketing materials (copy, images, relevant product and promotional information) in order to meet production timelines. This includes management of internal workflow process to ensure seamless and timely implementation of projects and adherence to all deadlines.
VIII. Attend vendor partner meetings as needed. Communicate with vendor partners to ensure that advertisements are created that meet the advertising objectives set by the Marketing Communication Manager, Online Business Development Manager, digital team and the vendor partner.
IX. Approve vendor provided materials based on marketing brand standards with the appropriate logos, item numbers, pricing and call to action statement.
X. Work with in-house agency to produce promotional materials while ensuring information presented is accurate.
XI. Enhance the scope of vendor partner brands by developing and implementing digital programs, direct marketing strategies and advertisements that support category sales.
XII. Provide guidance and acceptable parameters for deployment of promotional activities involving the Patterson sales force and vendors who work directly with branches on co-travel opportunities, trainings and other promotional activities.
XIII. Set up and maintain automatic free goods promotions and item notes to support marketing campaigns for their assigned vendors.
XIV. Coordinate/communicate with purchasing department to ensure that the individual purchasing agents are informed of items to be advertised and to determine marketing strategies for eliminating product overstock situations.
XV. Create content for print and web marketing vehicles, manage vendor ad estimates/billing, targeted mailers, and spiff programs while tracking performance.
XVI. Develop proof of performance methodology for integrated campaigns. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business from an accredited university
2. Minimum of 3 years online marketing experience
3. Minimum of 1 year experience working with digital strategy/web analytics

Preferred qualifications:
1. Three or more years of project management experience
2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
3. Interactive marketing experience
4. Experience with HTML and basic Javascript
5. Experience working within cross-functional teams
6. Experience in mobile/cloud technologies
