Jr. Interactive Designer

The junior interactive designer candidate should demonstrate strong design skills in both digital and print focused projects. For example: websites, online advertising and blogs, print ads, brochures, point of purchase etc. This position reports to our Chief Creative Officer.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work with creative team to design and develop both print and interactive executions. 
  • Work with developers and programmers to ensure designs are technologically sound.
  • Development and implementation of design of innovative digital and social media communications. 
  • Performs basic coding duties and creating digital templates as required. 
  • Work with interactive producer on interactive matters such as usability, interface design and information architecture. 
  • Consistency of brand look and messaging throughout all communications. 
  • Help conceptualize and develop digital and print communications; user-friendly websites and rich media including but not limited to banners, microsites, jump pages, email campaigns, and applications components to be consistent with overall campaign components. 
  • Maintenance of existing client websites and website content. Will also perform print design duties as requested. 
Position Requirements:
  • Prior intern experience as a designer within an agency setting or working in a professional digital environment preferred
  • Agriculture background a plus
  • Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • Knowledge of CSS/HTML
  • Proficiency with Mac and PC environments
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax/JQuery
  • PHP, MySQL is a plus 
  • Must be self-motivated and intellectually curious
  • Must be willing to learn and explore new technologies
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of current trends in interactive marketing 
  • Works successfully with close-knit, collaborative, team environment
  • Action Script, Ajax and XML experience a plus
