Editorial Strategist

Do you have a keen sense of storytelling? CaringBridge is looking for an editorial strategist to translate CaringBridge's message into online content and multi-channel marketing. The editorial strategist will develop stories and messaging that resonate with current and potential CaringBridge users and collaborate with internal partners to ensure that the right communication is happening at the right time.

What You'll Accomplish:

  • Develop, source and write CaringBridge content on all web properties and print using the CaringBridge Style and Editorial Guidelines in collaboration with creative director.
  • Manage blog content creation workflow process, including collaboration on content generation, calendar maintenance, guest blogger management, editing, routing, posting and comment surveillance.
  • Support CMS including ongoing content maintenance and governance processes.
  • Work with internal partners to create and maintain brand consistency across all channels of communication.
  • Provide key messages for specific target audiences.
  • Ensure content creation workflows are being followed for all channels.
  • Ensure all content conforms to SEO requirements and best practices.
  • Assist creative director in maintaining guidelines for the editorial tone, style, and voice of content.
  • Assist social media strategist with posting copy and other collaboration.
  • Assist creative director with creation of and updating editorial documents.
  • Establish and sustain interactive relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results to maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate/communicate plans and activities with others to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, marketing or interestingly related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in advertising, communications, journalism, marketing or position of similar responsibilities.
  • Strong writing, editing and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to embrace challenges and invent solutions.
  • Experience with a content management system and/or editorial responsibilities.
  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with personnel and outside contacts.
