Manager, Creative Strategist

Target is looking for a manager, creative strategist to join its team in Minneapolis. Do you enjoy developing innovative, eye-catching campaigns that increase brand awareness and solidify guest loyalty? Are you able to align business goals, marketing challenges and cultural insights into an actionable solution? The creative strategist is accountable for partnering with the lead creative strategist to transform a marketing strategy into a creative objective, and ultimately crafting a clear set of creative strategies.

What You'll Accomplish:

  • Create partnerships with associate creative directors and creative managers to translate brand/category objectives into creative solutions.
  • Manage partnerships and negotiate common agreement and understanding on scope, deliverables and objectives based on the marketing strategy or project briefs, throughout the course of an initiative.
  • Translate and synthesize relevant business and guest insights to bring an informed perspective to assigned projects.
  • Define the creative problem and objective from the stated marketing challenge in the strategy brief.
  • Write focused creative briefs with single-minded propositions that inspire creativity at the channel and/or platform, project or small scope campaign level. Uncover and provide unique and unexpected insights that fuel big ideas and innovation.

What You'll Need:

  • Four-year degree
  • 5–7 years marketing/agency experience
  • Brand marketing or strategy experience
  • Social platform experience
  • Ability to direct multiple projects in a faced-paced environment
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong presentation skills
